Why????
I was talking with a buddy from FL this morning who owns a 06 F250 that is for the largest part a garage queen. This truck has just 14,000 miles on it....
Anyhow He took it to show a couple of weeks ago and was approached by someone representing a manufacturer about him install one of their intakes at no charge to him on his truck...just for some feed back about the product. I mean seriously are these companies afraid to to throw their products on real working trucks? I drive between 300 and 450 miles a week some weeks over 1000 miles. The truck pulls a 5k pound trailer 4 or 5 days a week and I drive off road around our family farm a fair amount and my odometer reads 195k+ miles. So here is my challenge to the manufacturers if you want to see how well your product will hold up on a real working truck let me know and for crying out loud stop throwing parts at the garage queens. |

It's al about who gets lucky and shows up to the right event at the right time...
He just got randomly noticed by a vendor. |

^^ Agreed. That's the beauty of showing up to events w/ a bunch of vendors. Just start up conversation and next thing ya know...they might be offering you a deal!
I had a buddy get a free 6" Fabtech lift when the newer body style F-150s came out (~2006 or something ) from Fabtech to try out. All he had to do was a couple videos, some feedback, and he gotta free lift

His truck does draw attention because it's very clean...I have seen him detail door hinges with Q tips...... it has won a few trophies for best in class for stock. You could literally eat off his engine. |

I promise that a clean OEM looking truck will be much better video fob than a truck outfitted for work, with the scars to prove it.
Think of it from your point of view. Are you more interested in the ads that show a beat to **** farm truck, or the one that looks like how you imagined your toy when you bought it? Functionally, you like the farm truck because you know it's showed its worth. Ideally, you want the show truck because it's pretty. And hot chicks don't climb on farm trucks. Hot chicks sell parts. |

You can submit your truck to Banks and other manufacturer's for product testing, but again, it is all luck I guess.

Man I use my truck for work, but it's not a POS.
I don't wah it every other day,but it's clean has vey few dings and if something does get messed up it's fixed. No I can't eat of my engine....Yes it has been buried in the mud more than once.Could it be clearer...sure,but all in all it;s a nice looking mostly OEM truck that has almost 200k on it. |

I actually found a 99 2500 cummins on CL in OTP North I plan on buying a building from the ground up to make a pull truck, I'd love to have some guys over to help! Maybe make it a group event! I just couldn't see taking a chance on ruining a good f250 when I can get a cheap cummins to play with.
