Yeah if your not gonna get an extreme tune then its not necessary, but if you are and plan on hammering on it a lot, the boost and EGTs will scare you in to getting an IC, they did for me

Im using an intercooler off of a superduty 7.3, thats the cheapest way to go and then I am using pipes from banks but you can also get an early 99 intake spider and modify the SD pipes to work, that is the cheapest option

Find a used one off of a new body style 7.3 and make your own pipe kit or order a pipe kit.

Here's an intercooler kit. Has everything you need but if you wait and shop around you might be able to collect enough parts and put together your own kit for less $$$. Hypermax - Product Display

For the superduty 7.3 IC just keep your eyes open for one for sale on ebay or the forum, they pop up all the time, same with the pipes or spider

You can also get the spider new from powerstrokeshop.com, I dont know the part number though

If you are looking for banks pipes, there is a group buy going on for them on powerstrokenation.com
