Personally, I would at least spend 200 bucks and get a sneaky pipe and block off your EGR system. This will greatly decrease your chances of popping the heads. With Erics tunes you can do this without any CEL issues. Beware though, if you are tuned, and have a 6.0, eventually you will need to stud the engine. I have run mine 50K miles with Tunes/towing etc, and I did not block the EGR until about 50K. Well, long story short, had to to stud the engine. Fortunately, my local dealer was ok with warranty. (I was completely honest and showed all the mods, and gave an accurate history of the vehicle). They were fine with fixing under warranty and even allowing me to put the ARP studs in.( I had to pay for studs $400.00). Rest of work was covered under 5/60K warranty so no deductible.

You can go many miles with no studs, but if you turn it up( and you will if you have Erics Tunes, since they are very good) you will eventually need studs.

do yourself a favor and put every mod in with care. Make sure you can remove everything w/out evidence when you start puking out the over flow. Ford WILL now send out a rep to check on the dealerships to make sure they dont allow any bs. Becareful to get a good feel for your local service shop because they can tell if they have been tuned by the scorch signature on your pistons. I popped my '07 @ 50k and they would not install the studs in fear of popping it again b4 my 100k powertrain was up. So b sure to pop it after 50k and b4 100k then ford can pay the $2000 to pull the cab and install the studs! B sure to get a towing tune and use it while towing until your ready to puke out the overflow. This is as easy as pulling a trigger on a hot tune pulling on the highway she Will let go for sure! Good luck
