Edge Evolution question 1995 Powerstroke

Just bought a 1995 F350 Powerstroke with an Edge Evolution programer. I bought the truck to resale. Everyone said that the Evolution is too good of a programer to let go with the truck. I tried to return the truck to stock. The programmer said the process was complete. When I unplugged the programer and turned the key on the "wait to start" light and "check engine" light was flashing. The truck would only turnover. Tried to put the program back on the truck.....afterwards the same thing happened. Tried a couple more times with no luck. When I tried again the programmer said "communication error". Has anyone else had a similar experience? Thanks!
