Newb performance question

I have owned my truck for 2 days now '08 250, and have been looking at performance mods. I called the local performance shop and it seems DPF/Cat delete and tuner are essential. My local guy says $3000 for those mods to my truck but I see on ebay $799 for delete pipe and H&S XRT Pro which many of you seem to recommend.
I don't want to piss off the local guy but what should I be getting for the extra $2201? It doesn't look too hard to install. Am I missing something? Do I need a dyno to set it up? hat other essential parts should I need to delete the DPF?

You're getting raped for those parts.....I try and buy local too but sometimes they just can't compete with online pricing. On ebay you can get the H&S Black Maxx plus exhaust for like 1500.00....I'd check out spartan though. A buddy of mine has a 6.4 and he's running a DPF Delete, opened up exhaust(cant remember exactly what) and a spartan and he' setting near 25mpg and it runs great....its all on a Crew Cab Shortbed.
