To much boost?

so i was at a local truck pull last week n talkin to some fellow obs and nbs guys and there telling me with there chip they are getting 17PSI. i have a intake and a downpipe basiacly. my gauge is reading 24psi maxx at 2800 rpm? i just boought the truck a month ago. iss this much boost possable with a stock turbo. cause it sceams and the truck isss fasstt for rolling 35's down the road .. any answers?

The engine load created by your 35's can cause slightly higher boost, but assuming you are talking about the 7.3, I wouldn't consider this too much boost.

yea sorry it a 95 7.3l ok thats good caus ei was gunna get a chip for it next week so im kinda excited to see what i can do with this truck. i just dont know which one i should go with

i wouldnt worry about that PSI.. i would regularly hit 32psi out of my stock turbo in my 2003 7.3L with just a chip, intake and exhaust

no that not too much. i wouldnt recommend anything over 28-30psi. anymore than that and ur really getting out of the OBS turbos efficency range and its jus creating hot air and not givin u much more power. my stock turbo went in my OBS in about 3 months when she started pushing 40psi after i put 160cc sticks in.

what are you guys doing to get so much boost out of your stock turbo i have an intake edge juice wih additude and 4 inch exhaust and im not geting that boost what should i change to increase it?

Thats your problem... ditch that edge juice and get yourself some custom tunes and you will see way higher PSI... plus that edge juice is notorious for burning up transmissions.... you need something like this:Tony Wildman Chip

I just got a TS chip from elite and I am only seeing 22ish do that sound right? sorry for the . with mods in my sig.

seems a lil low. ur 98 should still be OBS or is it SD???? if its intercooled thats gonna take some boost away from ur readings.

im curious as to wat a "exhaust delete" is.
