6.4 mods

I am new to diesel ownership-just bought a used 2008 F250 4x4 with the 6.4L PSD and I am confused with all of the choices out there. It is clear I should be looking at a tuner (which one?) and the DFP delete pipe. What else should I be looking at? By the way, I bought the truck to pull my 6500 pound toy hauler and want some more pulling power and of course I want better fuel mileage. Are there any shops in the Houston area that I can trust to do a package deal on my truck?

if not the mods that you need for that are simple bolt ons and can be completed in a days work.i like the black maxx myself but spartan seems to win more than a few out there.do some research and determine what you want out of your tuner.then pick out an intake and exhaust.just search for black maxx or black maxx vs spartan or just spartan in the search tool and youll find more than enough info to help make a decision.if not call one of the diesel shops on here and i bet they can help you make a decision.hope i helped ya in some way.

i like spartan myself. sct is also another good one if you dont wanna spend all that money for the spartan. there is a place in san antonio called Truck Source Diesel that can do all the work and reasonable to. they did all my work

I agree, several friends of mine have tried the Spartan and loved it. I have a '10 and have been waiting to see what would work best as this is my first diesel as well. I am going with an S/B intake, Mini Maxx with ether a 4" to 5" DP - exhaust.

Does anything think the Cold Side pipe is worth upgrading while doing this?
