I need your experienced opinion.

I want to try a diesel, I like the Fords the best. I may chip it someday but want to buy one that is stock. I don't really do that much serious pulling, just really like diesels. I really like the cabs/looks of the newer powerstrokes (04+) a lot better than the older 99-03 models. For me reliability and mpg are at the top of the list. With looks/cab closely behind. I was pretty sure I wanted to buy a 7.3 do to reliability and efficiency but now have a new idea. I was recently enlightened to the Ford Extended Warranty’s. I am now contemplating that I could have the best of both worlds with a 2006 powerstroke and the Ford Extended Warranty.

What are your thoughts? How good is the warranty? With the common problems that occur with the 6.0's how good does Ford's Extended Warranty cover you? What can I expect for mgp's and reliability for an 06 powerstroke verses a newer 7.3's?
