use whatever engine de-greaser you or someone you talk to prefer.....but you will not harm anything as long as you use common sense...dont put a continuous spray on the exhaust manifolds.....dont put a continuous spray on the Y pipe at the back of the motor that goes to the turbo....other than that..i like to keep the motor running to keep temps consistant...but i dont think thats nessisary.......its not that big of a deal with a diesel... other than it seems to get dirty quicker after the wash......Marc....
