I have an 03 6.0 long box crew cab 3:73's 4x4 every thing is stock.
I will be pulling a 10,000 lb toy hauler and 3-6 quads. I am thinking of a 6 pos tw or dpp. 4" turbo back and stock size tires. getting rid of Cat, stock muffler and particulate filter. I am getting 15 city 18 hwy mpg. Should I leave well enough alone, or will I see big improvements in performance mpgs,are they worth the money. Thanks for your input. |

They are well worth the money your gonna love th 03 turbo but ur gonna want a sct i have the sct livewire and i love it it takes care of my gauges to. I have a sled pull video i just posted under sled video if u wanna hear a 03 straight piped

^^^^I agree SCT is the way to go....and the 6.0 did not come with a particulate filter in the exhaust.

sct with custom tow file, no cat and an aftermarket muffler..and the 6.0 doesnt have a dpf

I know it has a cat and a muffler but in between is another item I just assumed it to be a particulate filter.

I assumed the Cat was wrapped just after the bend from the downpipe then a rusted 2x football size item Rusty then the muff. |

I know wat you are talking bout i believe it is a deal to reduce turbo noise. Cut it off with the rest of the crap

Live in WA. no testing as of yet so I figured I'd get rid of all extras to let everything breath.
Will find out next weekend how well it pulls next weekend, it has to be better than 94 1/2 ton GMC only went within 30 miles of house and no major grades. |
