How to Change Front and Rear Shocks?
Hey guys,
I just purchased my first OBS powerstroke!!!! Its a 1997 F250 7.3. It is in bad need of replacement of shocks in the front and rear, and I have found some gabrials at the local autozone and I was wondering A) are these ok to use? B) How do I do the installation, any good writeup with pictures??? Thanks fellas!! -Whit |

Someone anyone?? I'm fixiing to go buy them and I want to know if i should hold off, but I just got the truck today like...2 hours ago and it bounces like hell because the back shocks have not been replaced in 279K miles...

I've heard gabreal shocks are kind cheap but ive never used them. ive got monroe reflex's in my truck and I think there great
for install as long as nothing is to rusty just unbolt and bolt them in, impact gun makes it much more easy if you have one. |

pretty simple install....Be sure to attach the shocks at the top before you cut the band. Its alot easier pushing the shock (collasping) bottom back up, then it is to pull the top back down to line it up.

I have finally purchased a set of Bilstein 5100s. Was wondering how easy thay are to install. I have replaced hub assembly in F250, axle in a Ram 1500, motor, trans, exhaust in an old 68 Mustang but never, ever installed shocks. I will assume they are simple and straight forward. Thanks for any input.
