Back Rack Story

So i got a back rack for my truck today. Im sure you all seen them. Well i had to order the bigger 31in toolbox brackets. Cuz the 21in ones that come with it are to small for my box. My toolbox is 27in long. So i cut the new brackets down to 27in. Well i got everything together and it looks sweet. Go to open my toolbox and WTF. The toolbox can not be up tight to the back rack. It doesn't give enough room for the lid to open.

So i had to go back down to my buddys NAPA store and get him to re-order the 31in brackets for me at 40 bucks. I need to only cut 2in off not 4in. What a PITA.

Well thats why they have the tool box brackets so you can have both. Just make sure if you have to cut them you cut them right the 1st time lol.
