Nationalization of General Motors
![]() OK, here is my question to all of you: If the U.S. government is the majority owner of GM and is intent on making the company profitable so the taxpayers can recoup their "investment", does Ford stand a fighting chance of getting any government contracts in the future? And what about the UAW having the majority ownership in Chrysler? What is to stop them from attempting to drive the remaining U.S. automakers under by using union strong arm tactics? |

This is a real scary situation. And one with GM that I definately don't agree with... My wife is a Pontiac diehard, mainly the GP GTP and GXP's... Her latest and greatest is a G8 GXP 415hp 6sp, black on black leather...... Sweeeeeeet ride... Anyway, I told her last night to park it and buy something else to drive because that was going to be her LAST GM vehicle. So, today she went BMW shopping....
![]() This whole freakin' deal with this administration just pisses me off and scares the hell out of me................... |

I find GMC trucks realllyyyy cheap, I've had one a long time ago. But personally I wouldn't want to see the entire company collapse.. it's ridiculous how many things are dependent on them.

The whole thing is one gigantic conflict of interest. Someone would've snatched them up. The free market principle is to let them crash and let someone else build it again and start over.
