whistling turbo's

While driving around town I sometimes hear a whistle sound coming from peoples diesel trucks. What are people doing to their turbo to make them whistle?

Toss the muffler and catalytic converter and you get the whistle

What kind of trucks? Ford Dodge Chevrolet? 6.0 or 7.3?

6.0's with stock turbos get the most whistle. Add in a CAI intake, lose the cat. converter and the whistle gets very noticeably louder... The '03 model turbos are the loudest.

it's a 2002 ford f250 with a 7.3.

yupp at least on the 7.3 you will get a nice wistle with just removing the muffler and cat convertor!! And it gets much much louder and burly!!
