"Cerror" PSD died on run

My 1997 PSD Econolines engine just went off and the optional rpm-read out was signing "Cerror" (never seen it before).

After that no firing, completely dead.

My friend tried to read out codes with a SnapOn tools code reader and had no success, only "communication error".

So - doeas the "Cerror" mean computer error or communication error ?

I was voting for broken PCM and went after it (Ford part F8UZ12A650ALB) but our local Ford dealer told me that it is not any more available.

So what to do, can anyone help ?

Have you checked all fuses?
