1978 F-150 Diesel?????

ok guys, lookin for some info, theres a guy sellin a 1978 ford f-150 reg. cab short bed with a DIESEL and says it very rare that only 4 were made??...can anyone help me out and say if they ever heard of this or not, or is the guy full of it????

If only 4 were made he would not sell it.late 70's had gas burners 302,351m or 460 big blocks.also get a pix of top of the engine,look for carberator,and distributor in the front of the engine.

didnt some of the old fords have a detroit diesel in them or am i thinkin wrong.

Ford started in 1983 with the 6.9 navistar diesel

in a 150...? come on. altho i have no knowledge, but i would imagine that ford would not put it in a short bed 150 truck.

It could mean an engine swap and they only did 4 of them? There is a 78 f-250 with a built cummins in it that was at 4 wheel jambo in Lima OH last year. That was a beautiful truck.
