Highway MPGs
The truck info is in the sig. In NYC right now (leaving tomorrow morning) and trying to get some input on everyone's MPGs. I know there will be some "truth stretchers" but I need some honest feedback. ON the way up here (I-78) I was averaging 60-65 mph @ ~1900 rpm. I noticed the overhead console was showing the 12.1-12.9 range. When I gassed it ab it and avergaed the 70-75 mph @ ~ 1900-2100 rpm, the console read 14.1-14.4 mpg...... does this sound about right? What do you guys average in speed and mpg for the best?
btw.. only intake and 3.5" straight pipe, no tunes |

my 95 would get 16-22 depending on how I drove it. RPMs over 2K sucks the fuel much faster it seemed. I got 11 MPGs towing my 5th wheel RV at about 75-80 MPH. if I run 65 and under and ease into it I could run 20 MPG no problem. but I have a lead foot and like to drive fast so I usually averaged about 16-18.
driving style make a HUGE difference. |
