Front window tint recomendations?

hey guys, i want to tint my two front windows either 5 % or 20% im not sure yet . but i want to do it my self, do to money cost. I saw pre cut kits like this one on ebay. eBay Motors: Ford F250 F-250 Crew Cab 99-07 Front Window Tint Kit (item 220290488794 end time Apr-06-09 17:30:00 PDT) . i remember buying a cheap tint from pepboys and it looks purple, it was not good. i friend of mine says you got buy the 3m stuff the pros use. but idk were to buy it? do you think the plane rolls they sell on ebay are the crappy purple looking tint? also 5% or 20% that is the question!?

most of the tint you just buy at places will turn purple after a while, ive heard to go with the 3m stuff as well, but i dont know where to get it, did you check 3m's website? and the 20% i think will be a lighter than the back, and the 5% should match pretty close, could be a little bit darker, depending on what tint you use.

You need to get llumar window tint, thats the best stuff you can get

My 97 OBS has 5% on both sides and rear as well as an eyebrow which is 5%...I really like it in the daytime but for nighttime its a good idea to roll the sidewindows down to see if anybody's coming...Since I bought it in Missouri and I live in Kansas it had to get inspected before it got tagged. I was surprised that the the cop didn't say anything about it since 35% is the legal limit in KS.

deff go with 5% that what I just got on my wifes 08 350 and I love it. This is what it looks like inside the cab.

Oh and just FYI in case you didnt know the reason window tint turns purple is from washing the windows with a cleaner that contains ammonia

yeah i just read that, i will use soap and water, this should be a fun install. somethings telling me im going to get fustrated and throw them in the trash! haha

yeah Ive watched the guy tint windows that did mine and it does not look easy thats for sure, also there are cleaners you can get as well that are ammonia free
