Dealership Service?
Before I raise anymore hell with the service dept. at my local Ford dealership, I thought I'd get your opinions on this matter! I had my truck (still under warranty) towed to the dealership when it quit on me. The service dept. said it would be 6 or 7 days before they could get it in to look at it. Well now it's going on 4 weeks and my truck still has not been looked at.
Is this typical of Ford dealership service departments? This the first time I've taken it in for a warranty repair. Opinons please! |

my truck has been hit twice. once with my dad driving, once with me. first time took them FOREVER and they never got everything right. i mean it was a lot but the windshield leaked and doors dug into the running boards. second time it was forty something days but they got it done RIGHT and all of it. i'm not saying you're lying but are you SURE they haven't looked at it? maybe they did. i used to go in every week or so just to see the progress. i bet they got annoyed but it's kinda their job to please the customer. so i would maybe go by and just drop in. that's my couple of pennies. |

My truck is not in the body shop, it just quit running probably just the fuel pump. I've checked every week and all I get is another excuse. It's very aggrevating!

Let's see:
"repairs on trucks ahead of yours have taken longer than expected" "We had to put a new engine in a truck and then do it again!" "One of the diesel techs had a death in the family so we are backed up" All this maybe true, but it's still poor service IMO! |

hate your having problems, working at a dealer for 20 years ive seen and heard these things before , the truth is they probably have little experience with a diesel and may have only one guy that knows what to do , no repair should take this long i agree , me personally i would have already paid to have it towed to another dealer , i bet if you call them and tell them a tow truck is on the way to get it i bet it gets looked at , they may try and call your bluff so be prepared to call one if you do that

Thanks! I only took it to this particular dealership because I'd heard that all the "good" diesel techs had left the other dealership(we only have 2) for this one, so my options are slim. I'm going to talk to the General Manager on Monday.
