2004 f 350 4wd hubs

Last winter my automatic hubs worked fine. Over the summer one locked up so I replaced them both. Ever since I replaced them the auto will not engage, I have to get out of the truck and lock them in to get it in 4wd. Any body have any ideas on what would cause this.

Did you replace with stock Ford units or aftermarket ones?

There are two types of oem hubs foe our trucks, did the ones you put on have the lettering Auto Manual?
