the issue i have is that i have to go through a dealership because i have a trade in and im upside down

Going through a dealer shouldn't matter - Paying too much is paying too much. They aren't the only party in the deal. No one ever said they get to call all the shots. If the deal doesn't look good to you, walk. If they really wanna sell the truck, they'll keep talkin'. Go to sites like Kelly Blue Book -OR- Edmunds, enter in the data for the truck. They will spit out a ball park number that you can take with you. The more informed you are, the better it is for you.
Went through this with my daughter recently. She was upside down with her car too. They worked with us to get her the car she wanted. Last edited by SuperCrutyPS; 01-12-2009 at 12:03 PM. |

yea i kno its understandable. this place has given me a pretty good amount on my trade just by estimates and said we would go more into it if i decide to sit and go over all the numbers. truck is also on 35's just remembered to throw that in. but overall, what do you guys the truck should sell for? so i kno what to go in for. also i heard something about an oasis report? what is it and how much does it cost

an oasis is going to tell you all work performed on the truck to know what is bad and has been fixed ... that is way to high because dealers should be selling lifted and modified trucks for less than that because it's harder to sell something like that. I think if you really want this truck to talk to them a little more and get it lower or try another dealer. The best thing to do is to not tell the dealer you have a trade in before hand or they will use that against you in pricing the vehicle you want. Always show you are willing to walk away
