I use nothing but Shell Rotella-T 15w40. Used it in my 95 and now my 04. Had the valve covers off my 95 at 200k+ and there was absolutely no sludge build up. In fact, it looked brand new.

I use militery grade 15W40 because its free and with the cost of an oil change on these suckers, that helps alot!

I buy mine at Advance Auto Parts. Seems to be the cheapest around.

I use Valvoline 15w40 Premium Blue here. Get it a Wal-Mart and it's relatively cheap.

Schaeferr 9000 5w40 full synthetic here. Lots of posts about the new Rotella formulation not liking the 6.0 Powerstroke. You might want to look into that before putting Rotella in your 6.0.

With the discussions about the Rotella lately I decided with my last change to go to Motorcraft. Not sure what actually but I did. After watching the videos about the filters and knowing that I want to stay with the Motorcraft filter I thought if they did such a good job compared to other filters could they have missed on the oil? My truck seems to like the Motorcraft oil so far. JJ
