I saw one yesterday and I thought it looked sweet. My question is was it a factory option or was it custom? And how rare are they?

I think you have to order them that way, but it is a Ford factory option

I bet it does! The one I saw was black with all the chrome and it looked gooood. And being an 01-02 thing, thats right up my alley bein's i want a 7.3 I guess the only trick is finding one haha

The Lariat LE could be bought with the shortbed. Also in 05 when I ordered my F350, crew cab short bed duallys could be ordered in solid white or solid black only. I have seen one black 08 on Ebay a while back. I almost ordered a black one but changed my mind at the last second.
