Truck Stolen

Hi all

I have personally found out how easy it is for a 2008 F350 4x4 to be stolen.
Was up in Montreal Canada for the New Years Holiday and return from dinner at approx 8:30 pm on New Years Day.
Looked out the window around 9:15 and guess what no Truck.
Filed a report but it's not likely to be found.
Got to view the video tape the next morning and they took the truck in less then 3 mins
Word of warning for anyone traveling to Canada especially Montreal is don't take your new vehicle. After talking to the local police it seems that auto theft is out of control up there and it seems our nice new shiny trucks are pretty high on the hit list
By the way Lojack doesn't work in Canada either
Well at least I got 8 months out of it

Yes it sucks big time
The insurance should cover everything I was out today shopping for a new truck
Might get a better deal this time
Question to other members is there any device that can disable the truck so it cannot be started?

that sucks!!!! a doctor from here took his grandkids to niagra falls a few years back, while they were in line to a ball game the grandaughter looks up to him and says: hey grandad isnt that your truck going there. and sure enough it was his brand new harley edition psd peeling out of the parking lot.

craleigh, you know how Homer Simpson hates New York? I HATE Montreal. My old boss, my parents friends, and other have had their rigs ripped off up there. Not only do they lose their truck, but some had precious items in it.
They have you spotted when you show up, watch you park, and the rest is history.
I'm really sorry for your loss. It would be sorta fun to park a bait truck up there and beat the piss out of the guy that tries to steal it

I'm not sure if it would be worth it, these guys are nuts, if they have the time they'd keep digging deeper and deeper, breaking more things in the truck to figure it out. But I guess that's better than the whole truck

yup that sucks.. I feel your pain

Actually all the 3/4 and 1 ton diesel trucks are high on the theft list.. they are worth more in parts then they are in one piece.. they are still stealing 1999's and 2000's lol
