Question about selling a truck.

I am selling my truck and some one responded to the dad and asked for the vin. I am sure to run a car fax or oasis which I'm fine with and totally understand why. My question is what are the risk if any of giving a complete stranger the vin?

Stock for now.

I wouldn't be worried. They are visible just like a license plate. If anyone really wanted your VIN they could just look on the truck. I'd give mine to a potential buyer. Dealers do as well.

Nothing wrong with it, the bank will need it to process a loan. Good luck selling the truck
