Banned for emblems

Went to pick my daughter up from soccer practice yesterday at the middle school, and the principal approached me and asked me if I would consider removing my emblems. I told him "no". It's my right to be able to display anything I want on my vehicle. He asked me to please reconsider it....

He shouldnt be able to tell me what I can or cannot have displayed on my truck. He is the first person to say something negative about them. I've seen profanity on bumper stickers, how is this any different.

What's your thoughts.....

I use that word a lot but still would not put it on anything like that or a bumper sticker. But that's just me.

He didn't tell you to do anything IMO, he simply asked if you would consider it. Bumper stickers usually have it smaller so it's harder to see or at least with symbols so it's not spelled out. Yours is pretty obvious. If the discussion you had with him went as you put it than he was being nice and professional. As the principal he is in charge of that school and if he feels that something is causing a negative environment than so be it. Even if you didn't have the F word but "****" instead it would still get the point across but still be subtle and maybe he wouldn't have said anything. My .02

I just don't see why you would want that on your truck in the first place. I'm all for having a truck different from the rest, but in my honest opinion, that's just low-class.

He didn't make you do anything. It is just as much his right to ask you to consider removing the emblem as it is yours to flaunt it. 'Merica

Banned? He basically suggested the emblem was expletive in a middle school setting. I'd expect someone with the word F-UCK on his truck to have a little bit thicker skin!

I'm not sure what your truck is used for but mine is occasionally used to meet potential clients to talk about a job they want done. That seems downright inappropriate to me, and very unprofessional.

Then again, its your truck, 100% your opinion. I don't really understand it though is your truck lifted a lot or do you have twin turbos or what? Just saying **** the factory is doesn't make much sense.
