I don't have personal experience, but in reading the reviews, they are not very good on wet roads. I chose Toyo Open Country A/T's instead.
In Houston I would heed this info.

yea I know I have read that about the tires as well, but I can get a set of 4 brand new 305/70/16's for $520 bucks and to be honest I really cant afford tires right now but I need tires so this is looking like my best option.

Why would you sacrifice you're safety/life for a cheap set of tires?

I'm not overly concerned about the rain situation they have to be better than when I was driving my mustang with drag radials in the rain. Which if you have ever experienced its really not much fun however it yielded a lot of knowledge on wet surfaces.
