How to paint 08+ diff cover?

I want to paint it black with fins shinny and clear coated. Any suggestions?

You can get it powdercoated. Then use some sandpaper or something like that to make the fins stand out. Mine is powdercoated just black.

Do you have to primer aluminum before you paint it or prep it in any ways?
