New member with exhaust questions.

02 7.3 F 250 CC SB with AFE Pro Dry S Stage 2 Ez Intake System and TS Performance Switchable 6 Position Chip. Difference in 4 and 5 inch turbo back exhaust is $66 so not much of a factor. Is there any down side to the 5 inch. Pull 4k boat. What are your thought and experiences?

The only difference is sound. Have heard that the 5 inch has highway drone if straight piped. I have a 4 inch straight pipe turbo back and no problems with drone. Find someone with 5 inch and see if you like the sound.

With stock 3.5 inch going to 4 inch would be about 15% larger while 5 inch is 45%. Will be using a muffler in the system.

I have the afe 4 inch straight pipe 3.5 down pipe. I think the 4 inch would be a pain not to have rubbing on mine. Tight fit. My 3.5 down pipe was good fit and 4 inch straight back sounds perfect. Nothing like hammerin it down and hearin it roar. Gotta be careful downtown turns so many heads esp the cops....lol. id like to hear a 5 inch though cause my 4 sounds pretty killer id say. Hardly any drone on mine but then again that type of stuff has never really bothered me cause I always have the radio up so loud haha!
