Newbie question.

Hey guys,

New to this forum but looking forward to learning what I can from you and possibly spending a lot more time here. I'm sure my question has been discussed hundreds of times on here before, so if anyone wants to link me to another post I would appreciate that as well.

Anyway, I just recently sold my gas truck, and am on track to hopefully get a 6.7 here soon. My question is, can someone please explain to me what exactly an Egr delete and a Dpf delete do? Also what is the process of doing something like this? Would I also have to purchase a performance chip after the delete? I have vague ideas of what each of these do, but I want a simple explanation of each, how to go about doing it, can it be reversed, and basically any other information you can offer. Thanks in advance for any replies!
