A few questions from new truck owner

I recently picked up a 1999 f350 dually. I've been using it to plow for the past month, so 90% of my time behind the wheel is at parking lot speed. We finally got some nice weather so I was cleaning/going over things in the truck. I noticed a few things disconnected. The first is on the vacuum pump. From looking at pictures it seems like I'm missing a tube, but I don't know where it would go/come from. The third is a purple wire on the front glow plug relay. The purple wire is unhooked, and there is an extra wire added that leads to a dash mounted button. I bought the truck from an equipment dealer out of state so he doesn't know anything about it. I know I need to pick up a manual, but I'm hoping to get these things taken care of while it's nice here. Thanks

Sounds like you have manual control of the glow plugs... and the vac line, depends on if your truck has the floor mounted 4x4 shifter. I plugged the vac line on our Excursion, it has the dash knob (ESOF - Electronic Shift On the Fly) and the vac operated lockout hubs have been swapped for std hubs, no vac line needed.
