I wonder if they hold up better than the stock ones on my 05. The black is coming off. Maybe a switch is in order. Thanks for the info. I think they look great.

Yeah I really like them too. As far as longevity of the paint it's kind of up in the air. I would guess that these are made from much better quality materials than what Ford has put out. It could have been a bad batch of paint on some of the emblems too, maybe adhesion wasn't right.

If they just stick on with adhesives one might be cool on the tailgate

That's a good idea. I had the regular emblems from Ford on my 7.3, but I took them off and put 03/04 6.0 emblems on and used one of the old 7.3 ones for under the f250 emblem on the tailgate. Looked pretty nice.
