does this look like a good buy?

hey everyone im still looking for a truck, and was just wanted some input on this f250. im new to diesel, so looking for any help.

99 F250 7.3 diesel ext cab 4x4

i know the bed is rotting out, but i plan to flat bed any truck i buy to bolt the welder down to.

It looks okay, but the edge would bother me. I don't like edge since they only tune the engine, but without seeing and driving it, I honestly can't tell you anything other than it looks okay.

i was told to take the edge out and get a dp tuner for it. also not to sound real bad, but what are some things i should really look for? my next truck will be my first diesel. (im coming from only owning jeep xj's to this point)

I would take a good close look at the underbody. If the bed is that rusty then so is the cab, also any chassis,suspension work needed will take 2-3 time longer to get apart. Check the ball joints ,u-joints, oil pan, all the steel brake,fuel, trans cooler, lines

The rest of my $.02 is, if you can, get a truck that has not been in a snow/salt state. Get a history report to verify that. IE: My '01 F250 I bought from a dealer in Minnesota, I had it in Central,NY for 3 yrs, ebay'ed it to a dealer in Texas. They did a quick rust repair, and sold it "rust free body" in Texas
