EBP sensor and tube replacement, new problem

I decided to look into the EBP sensor this weekend and found that not only was the metal tube to the manifold completely clogged but it had a huge hole in it. I ordered new parts that just came in and replaced them. Started the truck and it seemed just a few ticks quieter (maybe) Drove it down the rode and it started doing a weird "purge". There was a strong growing wind sound and then like blowing thru a massive straw the straw being my stacks. What could this be? It only happens when you're barely on the peddle but not really under load. Also the baffled decrease in rpm as I let the engine slow the truck down (6 speed) is gone. Wild shot in the dark but its almost like its keeping itself open and letting what little bit of pressure the turbo its creating while not under load pass straight to the exhaust. Seems like its missing a little bit of power, tried it with the chip in and wasn't any better.
