Truck won't start/ "wait" light does not come on

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Below zero cold in Colorado! Truck started fine and let it warm up. Was moving it closer to the house and I started to slide and I gunned it a little, when I took my foot off the gas it almost died but did not. Came to a stop and it died and would not restart. Cranks strong. Noticed the "wait to start" light does not come on now. Any ideas? Thank you in advance!

May want to start with a little info on the truck itself. No one can help you if they don't know what you are driving.
