power steering fluid

I think its time for new fluid..how do i drain the current stuff and what should i refill with and how much? 97-7.3

Well there's two ways. You can either unhook the hose furthest to the bottom (the one that is hardest to get to) and drain it there. Or what I did. I just used a hand vaccum pump and pumped the fluid out of the reservior and then filled it back up. I then started it and turned the wheels several times and pumped it back out and refilled it again. After three times I was pumping out clean fluid and was satisfied I'd gotten 95% of the old stuff out. I used about 1.5 quarts of fluid.

there are no drain bolt,plugs?

Well I have a 2000 so I'm not positive we have the same pump but we probably do and no, mine has no drain, you have to pull the line or pump the old stuff out.
