Scuffy's Rat Rod Project!

Before I get into it I would like for the Staff to consider adding a project area. Its hard to know where to post stuff like this.



He's done it again folks! Scuff has scored another awesome find. He told me this morning he found a 1947 Ford 1 and a 1/4 ton truck and it was destined to have a Powerstroke in it and told me I better be ready to work. We the whole Rat Rod thing going like crazy its the best time to really get creative. There are truely no 2 Rat Rods alike and I know this will be one of a kind. We've already kicked a bajillion ideas around and I cant wait to see what Scuffy decides on. Scuff and I rode down and picked it up with the 4 wheeler. We needed a lil help from our buddy and his skid steer to get it out but I pushed Scuff down the road all the way to the shop. Here are some pics. The first one is of me pushing him while hes on the phone.

I've unofficially named it T.U.Mater! Pronounced 2 Mater.

thanks jon for posting up, ive been wanting to put a psd in something for awhile , well this oine is gonna get it , im thinkiin, super duty rear end , super duty front end , air bags on all four corners, psd engine non intercooled , i think a 6 speed zf and rough cut timber for stake bed , with 6 inch miter stacks coming out , this one will be running by spring

Freakin sweet dude! I have the same idea for one and a car and use the truck to pull it. Rat rod pulling a rat rod. that is my vision. Keep us updated for sure.

my buddy who already has a pretty cool rat rod car , he wants to buy it to make a hauler for his , i dont think i will seel it , ive been wanting to do a diesel something for awhile and ive decided that this is it , cantr wait to get to work on it

I would find a bed for it. Or make a flatbed for it. Then I would restore the cab and front end. Then put the Powerstroke under the hood.
