Alarm for 6.4... Viper? Code Alarm?

In the past weeks we've had several break ins in my parking lot so I think it's time for an alarm. Plus, the remote start will be nice for winter.

After talking to the extremely unmotivated and not too bright guy at Best Buy, I'll be having a local audio/alarm shop install the system for me. I'm more than capable of doing it myself... it just comes down to time that I don't have.

My two options are:
1. Code Alarm CA6553 installed for $599.99 out the door (this includes bypass and labor)

2. Any other system I bring them (probably
Viper 5706v Viper 5706v
) $175 plus an immobilizer bypass $50 plus 3-4 hours labor at $65/hr $195-$260 which comes out to between $420-$485 But that could be subject to change if they need extra components or it takes longer than expected where the other one is a fixed price.

Does anyone have experience with either of these brands? Advice to offer?

I had the viper with the 1 mile range 2 way remote on my old 6.4 and loved it. I had a standard remote start alarm on wife's old ss trailblazer and would never buy a non 2 way mile range again. I've always used viper on my cars btw

Viper here too, the only two things I dis like are:
1. that LED remote has a button lock so you dont press buttons in your pocket and you have to hit function and unlock before it will work
2. The key pad on the door wont work anymore with out setting off the alarm.

Other than that I love the system.
