They couldnt afford to fix up their old house what made them think they could afford the note on a $450k loan. Im surprised this doesnt happen to all the people on that show.

The house didn't come with the $450k loan. The family used their free house as collateral for the loan. They took a hand out and got greedy. That whole show drives me nuts. They spend so much time and money putting crap in houses that they don't need when they could be using those resources to re-build an entire neighborhood.

yes that is true but still... that family shoud be happy with what the did get and not take a loan against it If I was the the producer of the show I would try to make it to where the family really doesn't own the house to they can't go sell it or take a loan against it...

.. and that just goes to show you.... those people were in trouble in the first place probably because of bad financial decisions. The theory has been proven once again... If all you know is how to be broke your gonna be broke no matter how much money you start off with. You can take the idiot out of the trailer park, but you can't take the trailer park out of the idiot. Studies have shown that a large percentage of Lottery winners end up broke in a few years.... stupid is as stupid does
