Talking Enhancing fuel mileage help

I am totally new to this site and just thought you guys could give me a little advice. I am looking at getting a 2001 F-250 with a 7.3L 6 speed manual motor in it. I will be using this truck for pulling to rodeos almost every weekend and as my daily driver to work. What can I do to enhance the fuel mileage as far as chips, tuners, intake systems, etc... And please explain too, I am kinda new to trucks, I have never owned a truck before, I always carpooled to rodeos... Thanks in advance!

Also, my driving habits might help. I'm pretty easy on it, I don't have a heavy foot, I try to be as smooth in the acceleration and decleration as possible, and I usually stick to the speed limit too...

Switch the intake, (search 6637 filter mod) delete the muffler or up the size of the entire exhaust and get a custom burned chip. I'd contact Tony Wildman at Total Diesel Performance. Keeping the rpms below 2000 rpms really help increasing fuel milage. Of course you will need gauges now... At least an egt gauge.
