Well I took my truck down to put exhaust on it. After talking to some people I was convinced to cut the converter off. Well the muffler shop was happy to do it. I put 4" on the truck and a flo-pro twisted diesel muffler. Altogether this cost me $480
. I was shocked at how expensive it was for the damn 4inch pipe. Well I was wondering what if any power gain I got from doing this? I hope it was worth it. Now I have to find somewhere to pass the truck on an inspection too. So any ideas on how much power I gained from doing this.?

is it a turbo back exhaust or just from the cat

It's just from where the cat was cut off. I tried to get the 4 inch all the way up to the turbo but they didn't have the proper equipment. I wish it was all the way up. I guess that can come later.

I was told to pass inspection it needed the converter? Is this true (In Texas)? I don't live in a place where they check emissions but as far as I know they look for the converter. Man I hope that I dont need it. Kinda worried about passing the dang inspection...

At this time in Texas you do not need the converter, it is a safety inspection only. Certain Counties may be more strict though. With that said is it against the law to remove emmision controls from your vehicle. I have not had any problems yet in Texas.
