First time diesel owner!!! Suggestions

So, recently I purchased my first diesel, a 1996 F250 7.3L 4X2 5 speed manual. I am not too concerned with performance just yet, I just want general suggestions as to what I should do to take care of her.
I have only changed the fuel filter thus far, only had her for a few days. Also some like do and don't from diesel driving veterans would be awesome.
Thanks for any suggestions!!

Just regular maintenance for the most part. Things to keep an eye on are coolant. Takes an additive to prevent cavitation. Kinda keep a feel for how it runs, any smoke and if starts taking longer than normal to start. Other than that there are no major destruction issues with the 7.3. Hope this is helpful

Keep fresh fuel and oil in it, keep in mind it's got a heui injected, so oil is important, but a set of gauges wouldn't hurt to keep an eye on things even in stock form
