what is the latest rumor on what Ford is gonna do with their Diesel lineup??

Which trucks are you talking about. The superdutys or the half tons? I think 2009 or 10 they are supposed to have the smaller motor in the f-150s.

The info below is what I've read on forums. I have no "official" info.

I've heard the same as Logan. In 09/10, the 1/2 ton will get a 4.4L diesel. It will be a derivitive of the diesel engine in the European Land Rovers. I have heard that Ford still has a contract with Navistar through 2010 for the PowerStroke engine, but I've also heard that because of the strained relationship with them that Ford is either already working on or is seriously considering bringing PowerStroke production 'inside' to do it themselves.

actually theres been a whole write up on whats gonna happen to put it simple, ford is now contracted with peugot which is the caterpillar of europe and ford will be using a 6.7l v-8 called the scorpion, but its prob gonna retain the powerstroke name. this engine will only be in the 250s and up while the 150s will have the 4.4 compound turbo diesel v-8
