TX guys opinions needed

I am looking at purchasing a vehicle from Texas Auto Liquidators, in Arlington. Seeing as I am about 1400 miles away, I can't just run down there and check it out. Well, I suppose I could, but it wouldn't be very practical, as my last name isn't Gates or Buffett. I am thinking on making an offer on it but putting in the condition that it be inspected by a local dealer to verify it is in stated condition, which is no major issues, as it has an 6.0 in it. Has anyone here heard of these guys? Also anyone suggest a good dealer in the Arlington/Dallas/Fort Worth area that could be trusted to do a thorough inspection without bending me over. It's tough buying something long distance, I found that out with my welding cell, but that's another story entirely. Thanks for any input/insight you guys might have for me!

Yeah I almost bought mint 2002 7.3 from them but when the guy called me back to answer questions I had, it was already sold! They seemed nice and got back with me when they said they would but I just quick enough. I'd go check it out for ya but that's an hour drive for me and I just don't have the time!

No worries, and I appreciate the thought, but I don't want you to waste your valuable time on it for me (If you're anything like me, freetime is Very scarce), but thank you. Do you have any experience with any really good and trustworthy dealers down there? I know Dallas/Ft Worth is a pretty big area, so there has to be one or 2 that consistently stand out. Looking for any suggestions, thanks guys!

OMG, just read the 1st link, don't think I need to read the 2nd one. I don't even think I'd put an offer in on this thing, just based upon how scummy they have been to their customers.
Chancelor, I'm going to PM you about it. Wow

I read them all, they're actually pretty entertaining

Wouldn't want to see a member fall prey to those kinds of antics, though

I did a web history search of the site that a guy created back in 2008 after being taken badly by these clowns on a RX-8. It's now down, & has been for years. They must have lawyered up and got him to take it down, but it's still out there in the web archive. Bummer that the pics aren't available.

Seeing the dates on the posts I read, I see that even today there are still dealers out there who deserve the crappy rep that used car dealerships have. Amazing they can stay in business in the internet age. Well, like was said a long long time ago, there's a sucker born every minute. I just don't plan on being one of them. If I do end up deciding to make an offer on it, it will be after it has had a thorough top to bottom from a trusted dealer. Hence the thread.

The thing I don't understand is that they have received 1700+ positive feedbacks on eBay. 100% positive, not one negative, ever. That is just strange. I mean, you can fake it for 10-20, maybe more sales, but 1700+ and no negative, ever? I don't get it.

You can buy Youtube views and positive Yelp readings...I'm sure there's a way to pad your stats on Ebay

True, I would agree to an extent, but 1700 is a very large number to fake, and 0 negative is the more amazing stat. Love to see how they pulled that one off.
