POSSIBLE BLOWN HEAD GASKET

I have an 04 F250 with the 6.0. It appears that I have blown my head gasket. I only have 57000 miles on the truck. I know that it should be under warranty, but I do use a Superchip Flashpak, have exhaust and a lift on the truck. Anyone else had any issues with getting warranty work done? It just went to the shop today, so I don't know what they are going to say at this point.

Hope you removed the tuner, fyi I'd also disconnect the bat for about 2 hrs to remove all history on the pcm.

Yeah hopefully he did b/c if so he should have no problems getting it fixed

yes, I did remove the chip and put it back to stock.

Your likely to be okay. For the future I'd remove the battery for a while to get rid of programming traces and battery disconnect codes. Heard Fords cracking down on HG claims so you might be in for some harsh times. Good luck

The Ford dealer doing the repairs called me today. They said that the EGR cooler was bad and had to be replaced. They stated that Ford is now requiring them to check it first before going all the way to the head gasket. They now have to put everything back together. If that does not fix the issue, they will then check the head gasket. The service manager said yes, it is double the work and takes twice as long to get me my truck back but that is what Ford requires them to do. After hearing all of the issues of the head gasket on here, I will be amazed if it is not blown. At this point everything has been covered by warranty. The service manager also said that they do about one of these a week on the 6.0.
