Shout out to ATS Diesel and Thoroughbred Diesel

Several weeks ago ATS and Thoroughbred Diesel had a contest on facebook where the picked a random winner to win a rear differential cover from ATS. Well I won and finally got it installed. Just wanted to say that these guys came through on the contest.

Thanks, funny when thoroughbred featured the pic on their fb page several posters or should I say posers, flamed royal purple. Truth be known, they likely don't own a truck or their parents just bought them one. I've run several brands through the years and honestly can't tell much difference between any of them.

When I was changing my rear dif I just asked whats the best synthetic in my weight and that's what I brought. I read up on the RP afterwards and found out lot of rice burners run it in the rear diff and several didn't like it. I didn't really care, seems like a quality product to me.

One more thing about the RP. It's probably like the great diesel motor oil debate that goes on here all the time of which one is better. It's probably 6 in one half a dozen in another.

I believe there is so little difference in synthetic gear oils that their dislike is based mostly on vendor and manufacture propaganda but that's just my opinion as I have no personal scientific data to back up my claims

Wasn't there someone who posted a bunch of oil analysis results on this forum for gear oil, RP never fared well in those tests from what I remember. Congrats on winning.
