Tractors

wondering if anyone on here collects antique tractors? my family was in the implement business for a long time and was a international dealer. I like them all but wouldn't want anything old beside a ih. dad and I enjoy this hobby especially the old boys. just wondering if there's anymore of us left out there? zach

PS: if it ain't red leave it in the shed

LOL Zach, I love old tractors since I was a young boy. I was visiting around Jackson Tn several years back and spotted a 1939 M Farmall of which I brought for 1k. If I remember correctly the serial number was like 5560 or close to that. I hated to get rid of her when I did. Unbelieveable power for a 43hp motor.

Ah finally, a thread I can thoroughly enjoy in the best of both worlds between my 7.3 and IH. I have a 1970 Cub 127, a 1951 Farmall Cub and a 1940 Farmall A

This thread might get relocated to the "Off Topic" section

Awesome! I love the M and am curious to see an MD up close in side-by-side competition with an M. The 1940 A was just saved last month from a falling barn. I saw the barn leaning a lot more than normal and decided it was time to ask if I could get the A out of there before it became a casualty. It hadn't moved in over 20 years, had sunken into the ground, had been leaned up on by the cattle (who also chewed on every wire) and was questionable to save but I turned the crank and it rolled over without hesitation! I aired up the dry-rotted tires (which are holding for now) and winched it out.

Currently near LaPlata, MD but frequent the central VA area. Am looking to retire and move the family down to the Charlottesville area (near the wife's family). VA has a better outlet for the kind of life my family embraces. MD has nothing but criminals so we are forced to commute to VA for all of our family functions (to include the annual trips to Goochland for Field Days and every other month for Bass Pro).
