Here's my new diesel!!!

So I picked up this little gem last week and while it's not a big truck (or very manly), it gets 40mpg!!!! Seriously!!! We filled it up (only about $50) and it's lasted us for 2 weeks and my wife even took it on a 200 mile trip. I just got back from a business trip last week to the SF bay area and just got everything transferred over to my name!

It's a 1.9L TDI... According to VW, it has 90HP and 150 lb-ft of torque. The car is a 2002 and the engine is the Mk 4, which is the 4th generation TDI. It's a fun little car and it can scoot even in stock form... I need to look into what other mods I can do to it...

LMAO!!! It's a FUN little car... I agree it is SIGNIFICANTLY lacking in the "man card" points, but it's STILL better than driving a Chevy... (I kid, I kid)

they make a tuner for it. really wakes them up from what I've heard.... My freind has one that he chipped, said it made a big difference and didn't hurt the mileage.

up side: no warranty to worry about now, just good clean fun

Good to hear... I still need to get the maintenance records from the guy I bought the car from, so I don't want to do anything until I have those. I also read something about the timing belt needing to be checked/replaced, so I'm going to be cautious before jumping all in.

I've done the "flower delete" mod...

Actually, I think the previous owner did it... but no flowers on this thing.
