basic maintenance

What do you guys do for general maintenance besides oil changes? what about draining water from fuel filters and stuff like that, is there anything else that falls under basic maint for a diesel? any input would be nice, thanks..

Well I have had my truck for over a year now and still haven't drained my water separator. But the light hasn't come on for it yet. I should do it soon anyway. I'd make sure you pump in some nice fresh grease into all your zerk fittings. I use marine grease, I just think it's better.

Where do you drain the water at? I know there is one there just not aware of the location. still learning

Change the fuel filter every 10K to 15K and check the air filter.

oil changes every 3-5 thousand every 20 thousand change fuel and once a year change tranny fluid, I haul 40' toy hauler fifth wheel, never had problem
