people don't go around trying stuff like that so you will likely get no response

Actually routing the belt wrong happens from time to time... If you dont pay attention to the lil sticker on the radiator support cover. Why would do it intentionally isn't what I think the OP had in mind. If the belt stayed on and didn't burn right thru it then I'd say the pulley is turning. Your thermosat is either stuck closed or your water pump itself is toast. Oh, it could just be a simple water temp sensor.

Nah, it's "I wanna see how long it'll take to 1)warp my heads, 2)blow a head gasket AND warp my heads,3)blow a head gasket AND warp my heads AND put a rod thru the side of my block".

Thank you, rollngearly99,What you answered with was what i was getting at,because on my 96 explorer i believe it can be done as i have heard about it in the past on other vehicles.
Like it has been said before there are no stupid questions, that is one of reasons i go to numerous forums to get what they call a consensus, thanks

Like I said, if the belt stays on the harmonic balancer but doesn't spin the water pump... The water pump pulley WILL destroy the belt! Guaranteed...
